COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT NEEDED in the most controversial development in Truckee -CANYON SPRINGS – RDEIR comment period is extended to 11/20/2014 This revised Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) earmarks an important step in the environmental due process for the proposed Canyon Springs project, a 185+ parcel development on approximately 284 acres in eastern Truckee.
What is being re-circulated?  *Transportation/Traffic * Biological Resources * Project Alternatives
This is the final opportunity the public will have to respond to the environmental analysis of the development.  A Final EIR will incorporate public response and is expected to be released early winter 2014/2015.  The Planning Commission Hearing to vote on the approval of the project could occur before the end of this year! SOSG is now hiring experts and legal consul to judiciously and assertively review and comment on the Revised DEIR and forthcoming Final EIR.  We need to raise substantial additional funds NOW
